Drag finishing technology allows the easy and simple racking of all types of parts that have specific deburring and finishing requirements. Parts can now be individually fixtured outside the chamber, and subsequently loaded in a quick and efficient manner.
Drag finishing technology allows the easy and simple racking of all types of parts that have specific deburring and finishing requirements. Parts can now be individually fixtured outside the chamber, and subsequently loaded in a quick and efficient manner. The media is placed in the chamber, and remains stationary as the work pieces are dragged through the media using a planetary drive system.
The machine’s program gently lowers the work pieces into the media chamber while starting the rotation cycle. The process can be programmed to run in a clockwise and/or counter-clockwise motion. The very finest of media, normally unusable in other types of equipment, can be used for this type of processing. Both wet grinding and dry polishing are now easily applied.
A very high G force can be attained by adjusting the speed of the planetary action. The design also allows for the ability to have a flow through type water system not normally available in centrifugal operations. When the process has been completed the machine will automatically raise the finished parts to the unload and reload position.
Bel Air is a System Integrator and all equipment can be modified or adapted to fit Cellular or JIT manufacturing
platforms.
